Here is a 12 string bridge I am making which will use only 6 pins, I wanted to use ebony but with the increase size of the bridge I needed to lose some weight, so I made a 2 piece bridge with a pocket milled out on the bottom piece...and drilled a jig with the same program to glue the pieces together accuately..
